%231%23.jpg) Young people are a central part of the Lay Community of St. Benedict. A significant proportion of the membership is made up of those under 30, and many different events are on offer for teenagers and young adults.
The development of faith and spirituality for young people is a key part of the community’s mission, rooted in the wisdom of St. Benedict for people of all ages and at all stages of the faith journey.
Teenage and Young Adult events are run primarily by young adults, welcoming people old and new into an experience of the Lay Community. Leading the team with teenagers is a community member currently studying for a Christian Youth Work degree.
The calendar of events specifically for young people is available by clicking here. A calendar of general events is available by clicking here. Events take place at Worth Abbey in Sussex, university chaplaincies around the country, and elsewhere. We run retreats/meetings, and also take groups to other Christian events and on pilgrimage.
