We are also very pleased to say that Timothy Radcliffe, leading theologian, writer preacher and communicator with the young, will be a judge. And Kate Banks, teacher, theologian and writer, has also agreed to be a judge.

Any young person is welcome to contribute their ideas to what they have learnt about keeping a balance in their lives during the covid crisis. There are 4 prizes of £250 each for the winning essays.

Welcome to the website of the Lay Community of Saint Benedict. We are a community dedicated to the Gospel and the spirituality of St Benedict as lived out by lay people.

“In response to the call of Christ we seek to live

holy communion, create holy space and offer holy service.”

The Lay Community of St Benedict is not based in a specific location as members live in all parts of Great Britain and world-wide. Please explore the website to find out about the projects we are involved in and how you can get involved yourself.
